Rina didn't know what to say. He wasn't even paying attention to her? This was so low! What was his problem?! Meanwhile Mister answered him; "The Doctor said that the baby is alive...." he said with his head bowed low. Looking up he added, "...but they're not sure how long this'll last. The kid could be gone within the week for all we know."

Cash looked at marty then at her grandmother..."im so sorry...Kunshi. I dont know what else to say." Morning Star shook her head. "theres nothing to do..only the creator can choose to take her soul or not."Cash went and sat down next to Martys bedside.

Morning Star took a seat next to Rina. She felt worn and drained. "whens the last time you had something to eat?" she asked.

Rina looked at her with wonder. "I think it's been a couple days......she thought about it for about 5 minutes, then continued on; "yes i think it's been 3 or 4 days."

Morning Star shook her head. "thats not good you need to go eat." She averted her eyes to marty slightly. "I dont think theres much we can do now.."she paused "you should go get something to eat. Ill let you know if theres any change"

Rina thouhgt about this for a while and then looked at Mister telling him they'd go with her eyes. "Yeah I guess we should eat." she replied quietly. Then she got up offering her hand to her lover, in which he took hold of. They left the room and headed towards the automatic opening front doors.

Morning Star waited til they left then gave a sigh....she leaned forward and put her facer in her hands. Cash moved next to her putting a hand on her back. "you cant always be strong." he said. Morning Star looked at him. he nodded. "when you cry its not from greif....You dont cry beacuse your overwelmed....you save that for when no one is around. Thats not good Kunshi..." Morning Star shook her head. "i dont know what to do....I have to..." she broke off...

[Meanwhile...]

Mister and Rina got into Mister's car deciding on Burger King meals. FULL meals. They drove down the road in silence.

"whens the last time you ate?" Cash asked Morning Star. "I dont eat." she replied. Cash shook his head. "you should." she cut him off. "i dont eat." Cash knew fromm experiance it would be usless to fight he went back to Marty...

Rina and Mister had gotten their food and were now eating in the parking lot of Burger King. Rina had just finished off her burger and began on the fries. Mister had stuffed his face a while ago and was nearly finished with his Sprite. He watched her while she sat in the passenger seat taking 4 fries at a time and shoving them in her mouth hungrily. She was so happy to eat and she hadn't noticed his stare. He continued to watch her eat as he gazed with a million thoughts flying through his head. 'You're beautiful. I love you. I will never leave you. Will you marry me? How much longer should I wait to ask?' he thought in his mind. As he thoguht these things he broke off the stare and started the vehicle smiling like a little boy on the day of Christmas.

Morning Star left the hospital. She needed to walk. Marty had been in the coma for 6 days now. She needed to clear her head.


Cash whispered to marty "im sorry for walking out. I didnt mean to get you pregnunt....I didnt mean to hurt you," he lay his hand over the baby. "i want to be with you."

Marty opened her eyes. she heard cashes voice. His head was bent. "plese dont take her" he said. She moved her finger. "ca...cash," she said weakly.

Rina felt the rev of the engine and looked her Mister in the eye. She smiled realizing that she had food stuffed into her mouth still.

Morning Star walked on the highway. many cars where out this late..early

Rina had finished her food about an hour ago, and now her and Mister were back to their old selves. Almost. Making out passionately in a Burger King parking lot was as close as they could get right now to their old selves.

cAshes head shot up. "marty.." she whimpered. "c...cash....it...hurts."
"hey, hey im here. dont try to talk." her took her hand in his own.."im here now baby."

Rina and Mister finished up their expression of "love" for eachother and revved the engine backing out of the parking space. Mister was driving, while Rina sat in the passenger seat watching his every move. He looked over at her taking his eyes off the road for a second. She smiled at hime and he went back to the road. Hearing a horn blare Rina lwatched the road now too. Mister had gone over the white double-line in that short second and almost hit a Semi truck head-on. Swerving back into his lane just in time they sat just taking breathes and recooperating. After about four minutes she looked at him again and burst out laughing. Mister didn't bother glancing back over at her just to be safe. He knew why she was cracking up. So he began laughing along with her. They laughed all the way back to the hospital.

Morning Star. stoped. a slight drizzle begain. She started to turn nack. She wasnt sure what would happen but she would take it as it came.


Cash leaned over and kissed martys forhead. "im here."

Rina and Mister got back to the hospital eventually after all the laughing and pulling over to kiss and laugh some more. They got out quietly laughing and really trying to stop, and slammed the doors shut. Walking away the car honked to tell them the doors were locked. They walked in through the front doors and up to Marty's door. Once again Rina was feeling the worry, confusion, instbility. But in the middle of all of this was a small ball of faith wrapped in all the other emotions.

Morning Star was in the hallway. She walked up to rina. She was tired, she felt worn. but still she gently laid a hand on rinas shoulder. "things will be fine." she said. as the three walked to martys room.


Cash kissed martys forhead then her cheek before kissing her lips. Marty couldnt say anything it hurt to move or talk. "cash...wheres kunshi..." she breathed. She didnt want to be alone with cash

Walking into the room they found Cash leaning over Marty's still body backing away from what looked like a kiss. Rina made a face and tried to hide her disgust of the guy.

Marty heard the door, she closed her eyes becoming still...Kunshi looked at marty then at Cash, but said nothing. she closed her eyes and reached out for the doorway for support. She felt a wave of nausea come over her. She stood with her eyes closed waiting for it to pass.

They all stood in awkward silence for a while before anyone even thought of moving.

Cash looked up at rina. He saw the anger in her eyes and he just kinda grinned. "your back. so soon." he said

Marty didnt move or open her eyes, she listen and inside almost willed herself to go back into her coma. how long had she been in one? her head hurt.

Rina continued to glare him down while Mister rubbed her back in an attempt to sooth her feelings.

Kunshi looked from rina to cash....she just watched waiting to see what would happen between the two

Rina stood up, looked back at Mister, and left the room to run out to the car. Tears just began running down her cheeks and she really had no idea why.
