Plot- There is 3 weeks left in her seinor year, Alex has been through alot of death in her life, more then anyone can imagine. It seems to be her constant companion. And because of that she believes herself to be cursed, so she tries not to be noticed. She longs for someone to befriend, to love, and someone that will love her in return.

Marty pulled out of her dirt drive. blaring the radio. she was headed to anywhere but her home.

Gently pulling herself out of bed that early morning, the petite brunette crossed the small sized room and walked tenderly across the wood floor to her closet. She sighed lightly as she pulled out an old ripped pair of jeans, a pink tank top, and a brown tank top to layer over it and some necklaces.
After quickly dressing herself she then put a little make-up on in her bathroom located right outside of her room. Next she slipped on a pair of black converse before walking down the narrow stairway into the living area. She said mumbled a hello to Accalia, her beloved German shepherd and walked into the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast, but after noting the time she quickly decided against it and rushed out the door to her red, new-to-her 1995 camaro. She slipped the keys in the ignition and revved the engine lightly before gently pulling out of the driveway and started toward the school, to which she attended.

His alarm clock blared that he was late as Matt quickly threw on a pair of jeans and an old t-shirt along with his tennies. "Crap,crap,crap!" he yelled at himself. Without bothering to brush out his hair he rushed out the door, grabbing his backpack on the way.Cranking the engine to his all black Mustang he zipped down the street, even though a neighbor honked at him to slow down, he didn't listen.Amazingly enough Matt made it to the school unharmed.Seeing that the area under the Ramada was empty he ran towards his first period class, English.

Alex pulled into the crowded school parking lot and parked in the second to last row. She slowly got out of the car and pulled out her several books from the cramped backseat. As she walked inside she weaved in and out of cars, and dodged some large puddles that had formed from the rainstorm from the day before. As she was walking towards her locker she accidentally ran into one of the school jocks, sending her books falling to the ground. He took her by the arm, “Hey, you want to come over to my house later?” He spoke with a sly grin across his face. “I would rather not.” She said calmly, but the jock pulled her close into him. “Aww, I am sure you would have a great time…” Alex wiggled trying to free herself from his tight grip but it was hopeless, “Let me go!” She yelled.

Matt was about to walk into his English classroom but saw a jock forcing a pretty-faced girl towards himself.At first he was going to avoid the confrontation but saw the girl was struggling to break free and heard her yell for him to release her.Matt walked up to them pushing the jock back with his arm."Can you not hear?She said to let her go."

The large jock, whos name happened to be John, growled a low growl and muttered a few words that even Alex couldn't make out and automaticly pushed her away towards the locker behind them, slamming her against the locker. John then stalked off angrily. Alex winced slightly in pain as she had a screaming head ache from the hit she had endured from being forced into a locker. She looked to see the guy who had basicly saved her, "Thanks." She whispered softly.

an hour late wasnt much for Marty. She pulled into the parking lot. Steping into the hall she gave a shout. "hey yall" Marty was the rowdy kind. always looking for a good time and never looking into the future.

"No Problem. " he said lazily.Matt got a closer look at the girls face a surprised expression crossing over his."You're Alex right?"

Alex looked up to his face, her green eyes held question. How did he know her name? "Yeah, I am." She said softly whilst nodding in confirmation.

Marty walked down to her looker. "hey, John" she said. she winked at him playfully. As she passed

Alex smiled and nodded, "Alright." She said gently. When he winked she felt her cheeks grow slightly hot as she watched Matt walk away, then turned to walk to class. She wasn't going to need a nurse on this one, she had delt with much more in the past.

Before Matt walked into the classroom he glared at the girl who had been happy about seeing john.Then slowly tried to sneak in but failed. The whole class period the teacher gave a lecture on how being late could effect your life negatively in the future.Matt eventually zoned out and when the bell rung he slowly got up and left.As he opened the door the one and only, Alex walked straight into him.Her books didn't go flying everywhere like they did in the hall since he caught them before they could. "Hello again." he said smiling."I didn't know you were so excited to tell me you were alright."

Alex jumped at the impact that was fully unexpected. "I uh.. uh, I didn't see you." She said softly as she glanced up to meet Matt's eyes for a moment before looking away. She wanted to hit herself, how could she not have seen him there?

As the teacher started to pass out papers she looked up. "has anyone seen Marty? shes late again?" Just then Marty came in. She droped her pack and sat in her seat. She wasnt in the best mood right now. Her wildness was getting the better of her. Shed probly get a few of her friends as lunch and theyd skip the rest of school. the teacher looked at her.

Matt had laughed and tried to reassure Alex it was okay and that he was joking before hurrying to his next class. As he sat bored he remembered the color of her eyes. They were an unusual teal color that he liked very much.Geez he said to himself, he had talked to this girl to for a totally of 10 minutes and was already daydreaming about her.I am so weak he thought.

Marty stayed in the hall for the next class, when it was dismissed she aproched Matt. "hey, couple of us are going out, wanna join?" She smiled. "probly get a couple drinks and play around for the rest of the day."

Alex blushed softly as he walked away, she had talked to him for what?... ten minutes? She sighed gently and turned, she couldn't stop thinking about him, he was so kind to her. Oh my goch Alex, snap out of it. I don't like guys... remember? She questioned herself, but it was of no use, her thoughts did not stop thinking about Matt. Alex quickly walked to her locker and then to class, she was about five minuetes late. She walked into the classroom and got a lecture on how rude it was to be late to class. After the teacher was finished she turned to walk to her seat, she felt her breath catch lightly as she noticed Matt was in this class too. Gently, and softly she walked to her seat and sat down.

"That's okay I think I'd rather stay here today.I met someone I want to talk to." he had told Marty."Have fun." When he got to his seat he started to watch the clock again but then he saw Alex.And lisitened to how much his Late lecture had been to hers. He caught her eyes and gave her a lopsided smile.

Alex saw Matt's smile and offered a white and sparkly one in return. She gave an exaggerating roll of her bright eyes toward the teacher. She then pulled out her book and notepad to take notes, though most of the time she only drew and barley listened to what was going on.

Since the teacher was done with her lecture she said the class could have free time.Taking advantage of the moment, Matt hopped onto Alex's desk and sat there."Hey.Mind if I sit here?" he asked and smiled at her again.
